In winter, the Majella transforms into a snow-covered paradise—perfect for an immersive, ski-in/walk-out mountain experience on foot or via ski lifts. To eliminate daily travel and live the mountain to the fullest, the ideal high-altitude base is Passolanciano-Majelletta (around 1,300–1,650 meters). Staying in historic lodges or nearby mountain huts, you can step right outside with your boots or skis on every morning.
