Morning arrival and departure from the high-altitude station of Campo Imperatore (2,130 m, cable car option available). Cross the Sella di Monte Aquila and ascend to the 2,912 m Western Peak of Corno Grande. Enjoy 360° panoramic views from the Laga Mountains to the blue coastline of the Adriatic Sea.

Terrain: High-altitude pastures, gravel, loose limestone, and rocky paths

Departure from the Medici village of Santo Stefano di Sessanio, hiking through pastures and hills of the Baronia region to the spectacular fortified fortress of Rocca Calascio (1,460 m) with its white-stone towers and narrow alleys.

Terrain: Historic transhumance livestock trails, dirt tracks, and beaten paths

Gourmet Stop (NOT INCLUDED / EXTRA): Tasting of the renowned Santo Stefano di Sessanio Lentil Soup (Slow Food Presidium) with toasted homemade bread.

Departure from Prati di Tivo (Teramo side), on foot or via cable car up to La Madonnina (2,007 m). Hike through the wild Vallone dei Ginepri valley up to the eagle's nest of Rifugio Franchetti (2,433 m), a gem set between Corno Grande and Corno Piccolo.

Terrain: Rocky alpine terrain and high-mountain paths in Vallone dei Ginepri

Gourmet Stop (NOT INCLUDED / EXTRA): Hot polenta with porcini mushrooms or mountain meat ragù served at high altitude in Rifugio Franchetti.

A relaxing walk along the eastern ridge of Campo Imperatore up to the rocky gap of Vado di Corno (1,924 m), a panoramic balcony looking out over "Little Tibet" and the Adriatic coast.

Terrain: Easy ridge trail (trail 212) along the edge of the high plateau

Gourmet Stop (INCLUDED): Tasting platter featuring Farindola Pecorino cheese and traditional Abruzzo cold cuts accompanied by a glass of Montepulciano d'Abruzzo wine.

Departure from Fonte Vetica (1,632 m), ascending through Vallone di Vradda to the summit of Mount Camicia (2,564 m), overlooking the 1,200-meter vertical drop of the "Paretone" and Fondo della Salsa. Return loop hike via Mount Tremoggia.

Terrain: Mountain trails, grassy valleys, and scenic rocky ridges
