Trans Appenninica E-MTB Tour

The meeting point will be directly at the Portoferraio port at 2:00 PM, where our riding day will begin. Thanks to the assistance of our dedicated shuttle with a bike trailer, we will minimize asphalt climbs, focusing instead on a mix of single trails that follow the mountain ridge and offer breathtaking descents. We will start from Monte Tondo, where a full day of riding awaits us, mostly above 1400 meters in altitude, with some peaks reaching over 2000 meters. During the day, we will stop for lunch at one of the refuges along the way, where it will also be possible to recharge E-MTB batteries if necessary. The trails we will tackle are not particularly exposed, but they require good balance and technical preparation. Depending on the group's level, the difficulty of the trails can be adjusted. For the more daring, there is the possibility of challenging the summit of Monte Prado, which at 2054 meters offers an incredible view and a true test of skill. Our arrival is scheduled for around 4:00 PM at Casone di Profecchia, a refuge located at 1400 meters above sea level, where we will spend the night surrounded by unspoiled nature. After breakfast, we will continue our adventure by riding along the ridge that marks the border between Tuscany and Emilia Romagna, heading towards Passo della Porticciola. The trails we encounter will be less technical than those of the previous day, mostly not exceeding an S2 grade. During the descent, we will venture into a dense birch forest, where the trails will take on a more natural character, with some S3 sections that will test your skills. From Casone di Profecchia to Castelnuovo in Garfagnana, we will tackle over 1800 meters of descent, navigating ridge trails and the lush woods of the area. Depending on the group’s abilities and fatigue, our guide Marco will propose several variations, ranging from smoother, well-trodden trails to more technical and rugged sections. We will conclude the day by returning to Castelnuovo, where we expect to arrive around 3:00 PM, followed by a free dinner and an overnight stay.

Begin the day with a hearty breakfast, followed by some free time to explore or relax in Castelnuovo in Garfagnana. Afterwards, depart for the transfer back home.
