Morning arrival. Departure from Termoli's Old Town and Swabian Castle riding on coastal unpaved roads, secondary asphalt, and agricultural dirt tracks, joining the L’Aquila-Foggia and Centurelle-Montesecco transhumance trails. Arrival in Larino to visit the Roman Amphitheater of Larinum.

Ride along the grassy pastures of the Castel di Sangro-Lucera Trail skirting inland mountain ridges. Scenic passage along the shores of Lake Occhito before reaching Sant’Elia a Pianisi, famous for its historic Capuchin Convent.

Transhumance Trail (Tratturo): Castel di Sangro-Lucera Trail

Follow the renowned Pescasseroli-Candela Trail across the plain along beaten dirt roads and quiet rural pavement. Triumphant entry on bike into Sepino Archaeological Park (Altilia), an exceptionally preserved ancient Roman city with monumental gates, theater, and walls.

Transhumance Trail (Tratturo): Pescasseroli-Candela Trail

Gourmet Stop (INCLUDED): Rustic stop at Sepino Archaeological Park tasting stone-aged Agnone Caciocavallo, Molise ventricola salami, and local red wine.

Climb toward the heart of the region following the Celano-Foggia Trail. Passing close to Bojano (ancient Samnite Bovianum), ascend toward Frosolone, a medieval village renowned for artisan knife forging and the karst landscapes of Montagnola Molisana.

Transhumance Trail (Tratturo): Celano-Foggia Trail

Gourmet Stop (NOT INCLUDED / EXTRA): Traditional mountain lunch in Frosolone featuring grilled Molise Scamorza cheese, Matese Soppressata salami, and black truffle crostini.

Ride along High Molise connecting trails and the Celano-Foggia Trail to reach Pietrabbondante Samnite Sanctuary, boasting a Hellenistic theater-temple overlooking the mountain peaks. Continue to Agnone, famous for the Marinelli Pontifical Bell Foundry.

Long final descent and false flat section reconnecting to coastal trail branches toward the Adriatic. Pass through Castelmauro and the ancient fortified village of Guglionesi with its Romanesque crypts, completing the loop on Termoli's seafront.
