More information regarding the time and meeting point for the first/last day will be provided after the booking.
The meeting point is set for 8:30 AM at the parking area near the pine forest in Avezzano (AQ). At 9:00 AM, we will depart on our e-bikes for an easy route alternating short paved sections with gravel paths, suitable for all fitness levels. We will reach the ancient village of Albe, destroyed by the 1915 earthquake, offering stunning views over the Marsica region and the nearby archaeological area. Next, we’ll head to the town of Alba Fucens and San Pietro hill, where a tourist guide/archaeologist will join us to visit the namesake church and provide insights into the Palentine Plains, famous for the 1268 Battle of Tagliacozzo. With the guide, we will then explore the Roman amphitheater and the ruins of Alba “La Chiara.” After the visit, we will return to Avezzano.
Those wishing to extend the day will continue by e-bike to the village of Rosciolo dei Marsi for lunch at a local restaurant (please notify us of any dietary requirements). After lunch, we will visit the Church of Santa Maria in Valle Porclaneta, a millenary sanctuary located at the foot of Mount Velino, set in a breathtaking natural landscape, with a local guide sharing its history. The tour concludes with a return ride by e-bike to Avezzano, finishing around 5:00 PM for those continuing with lunch and the additional visit. For participants who opt out of lunch, the tour will end earlier.

Along the way, we will pass through areas of historical and archaeological interest, such as the ancient village of Albe and the Alba Fucens archaeological site, one of the most important Roman remains in Abruzzo. The tour also includes visits to historic churches, archaeological ruins, and places connected to significant local events.
For those who wish to extend the experience, there is the option to enjoy lunch in a traditional village and continue to the Church of Santa Maria in Valle Porclaneta, an ancient sanctuary surrounded by nature at the foot of Mount Velino.

Open to travelers aged 14 and over, with a minimum height of 1.55 m and a maximum weight of 110 kg. Minors can participate only if accompanied by a parent. An e-bike with a child seat (for ages 2-4, maximum weight 22 kg) is also available. The route is easy and suitable for those who want to cycle without particular technical difficulties. You can travel independently or in a group, always with support and technical assistance provided by the agency throughout the entire route. On group trips, you may share the experience with people from different cultures. For bike tours, some participants might use e-bikes while others use traditional bikes. Appropriate sportswear for the season, comfortable and non-slip shoes are required. Bring a light backpack, sunglasses, sunscreen, water, and a snack. The tour is organized by carefully selected local guides and operators to offer you the best possible experience.
Remember to bring a valid identity document (ID card or passport) with at least 6 months’ validity remaining.
