Monferrato Gravel Adventure

Monferrato Gravel Adventure is a 3-day cycling journey through the discovery of Alto Monferrato, an authentic area characterized by rolling hills, vineyards, historic villages, and a rich tradition of food and wine. Each day is dedicated to a symbol of Monferrato and to its most representative wines: Ovada DOCG, Barbera, and Moscato. These wines are the protagonists of guided tastings held directly in local wineries, where participants can meet local producers and discover the true spirit of these hills.

The route takes participants through Ovada, Carpeneto, Montaldo Bormida, Acqui Terme, Cassine, and Strevi, with carefully designed stages combining outdoor activities, culture, and the pleasure of local cuisine. Along the way, the tour includes stops at historic farmhouses, regional wine shops, agriturismos, and traditional Piedmontese restaurants, allowing guests to taste local specialties and fully experience the authentic Monferrato lifestyle.

The experience includes a certified cycling guide throughout the tour, full board accommodation with water included during meals, overnight stays in selected local accommodations in double and/or single rooms, wine and food tastings along the route, and visits to local wineries to discover the wines that represent the Monferrato area. Lunches and dinners featuring traditional Piedmontese products, luggage transfer between accommodations, and organizational assistance throughout the entire experience are also included. The price does not include bike/e-bike rental, available on request with an additional cost of €120.00 for the 3-day tour, any overnight stays and meals before or after the scheduled program, and anything not specifically mentioned under “The price includes”.

For those who prefer road cycling, an alternative version of the itinerary is also available, maintaining the same spirit of the journey: discovering the territory, cycling through the hills, and experiencing Monferrato one glass of wine at a time.
