Travel Tour Overview

The Riviera of Rimini is not just about the sea: behind the coastline lie the enchanting valleys of the Conca and Marecchia rivers, where lush green landscapes alternate with remarkable historical and artistic landmarks that make the villages and towns of this area truly unique. Malatesta and Montefeltro is an itinerary that crosses lands contested during the Middle Ages and the Renaissance by Sigismondo Pandolfo Malatesta, Lord of Rimini, and Federico da Montefeltro, Duke of Urbino. The fortresses and fortified villages recount the tumultuous past of these two noble houses, whose rivalry lasted until their deaths and involved the most powerful families in Italy.

The route begins in the historic Malatesta Lands, with stops in Rimini, Santarcangelo di Romagna, and San Leo, along the scenic Val Marecchia. Continuing into the heart of Montefeltro, the journey follows roads skirting Monte Carpegna and traversing the picturesque Val Conca. The itinerary includes a visit to the Republic of San Marino, offering the opportunity to stay and explore the treasures of this small state. The journey concludes in the Marche region, among charming villages and along the panoramic Via del Monte San Bartolo, offering views of extraordinary beauty over the surrounding landscape.

A cycling experience that combines history, art, and nature, allowing you to discover a region of unparalleled character.
