Travel Tour Overview
Campitello di Fassa was the first tourist and mountaineering center in the Val di Fassa. It is located at the entrance of the Val Duron, a valley named after the river that flows through the village. From Campitello di Fassa, you can admire and reach Col Rodella, the “balcony of the Dolomites,” featuring towering rocky peaks. This natural terrace, a launch area for paragliding and hang gliding enthusiasts, offers a spectacular view of the entire valley. Additionally, the Dolomite range of Sassolungo and the massive peaks of Sas Pordoi and Col Pelous rise around the village. From here, you can take the cable car that flies over the picturesque hamlet of Pian, an ancient Ladin settlement now under environmental protection, or set off for the Col Rodella - Belvedere Ski Area, part of the famous “Sellaronda” ski tour. A key reference point for the entire Val di Fassa, Campitello is home to the Centro Ischia, where numerous sports activities can be practiced. You will find an outdoor sport climbing gym, which also hosts international competitions, as well as football fields, basketball courts, mini-golf, bike paths, fitness trails, and golf practice areas.
