The meeting is scheduled for 9:45 AM in Roccaraso, the starting point of our snowshoeing adventure through the beautiful Valle Canara, which you can reach with your own vehicle. Once ready, we’ll follow trail no.105, winding through beech forests and snowy clearings, with scenic views over the Piano dell’Aremogna, Monte Pratello, and Le Toppe del Tesoro. The gentle route follows ancient paths once used by the Peligni and Sanniti, bordered by old stone walls and wild rose and dogwood bushes. Along the way, we may spot wildlife tracks and enjoy the peaceful silence of the winter landscape. After a short break to admire the panorama and breathe in the crisp mountain air of the Altopiani Maggiori, we’ll return along the same route, ending a pleasant day surrounded by the nature and history of snowy Abruzzo.
