Morning arrival. Departure from the base with a minivan transfer (~45 mins) to the trailhead in Roccamorice/Lettomanoppello. Hike to the striking Hermitage of San Bartolomeo in Legio, carved into the limestone rock overlooking river gorges. Late afternoon minivan transfer back to the accommodation.

Relaxing morning. Afternoon transfer by minivan (~30-40 mins) to Fossacesia Marina or San Vito Chietino along the Via Verde. Guided sea canoeing/kayaking tour paddling along the coastline past ancient wooden fishing platforms with swim stops.
